🍳Senior Breakfast
One of the first activities welcoming the seniors back to their final year in school was the annual senior breakfast. Since the pandemic began, this was the first time all seniors have been together since students came back to school full-time.
Despite restrictions from COVID-19 and over a month of planning, the senior officers were able to construct a great breakfast for the students. However, putting the senior breakfast together was a time-consuming effort. Senior Class President Karden Way recalls how stressful it was to “plan, call companies, and get quotes,” regarding the materials they needed for the breakfast. It was a challenging task, but with the help of the PTSA, they were able to fund the food for breakfast, assist with decorating, and volunteer during breakfast.
“We wouldn’t have been able to have the breakfast without their help,” Way said. The efforts of the parents and the students who participated in the breakfast were greatly appreciated.
Many parents and students volunteered the evening before and the morning of the breakfast to set up the gym for the students. The goal was to get all the seniors together to enjoy some of their final moments as a class.
In the end, the senior breakfast was just the beginning of the senior year. For some, this puts their final year into perspective, realizing that they will be graduating soon. As for future events regarding our seniors, stay tuned for the senior week coming to you in the spring of 2022!
