Cafeteria Crunch Time
The Paxon Cafeteria is home to many memories for students throughout the decades. Paxon School for Advanced Studies is the Alma Mater for many successful students, and there is one undeniable time that all students can relate to… lunchtime! The Paxon cafeteria is always full of laughter, gossip, and the sound of microwaves spinning throughout the period. The classic situation of “If these walls could talk!” is something that could be said about our very own campus lunch area.
Paxon is a school with an abundance of outdoor seating to compensate for the official cafeteria. It allows for the large student body to roam free and have quite the breather after hours of sitting in class, and it gives students time to prepare for the rest of the day.
There are some newer additions to the lunch period like the activities administrators have added on certain Fridays.
“I’ve been enjoying the music that they have been playing in the background,” junior Rebecca Spradley expresses.
Emily Miller, another student here at Paxon recalls her experiences of a comical conversation with Coach Ski and later leaving the lunchroom in a fit of laughter during her sophomore year.
“Personally, I enjoyed making jokes at the table and eating everyone else’s food,” says Deuce Pitts, a graduate of the Class of 2020.
Even some not-so-recent eagle graduates such as Miss Claire Honey, alumni of the class of 1965, remember the good times she had. She recalls the memory of gossiping with her girlfriends about the cutest football players in the cafeteria.
